A Simples Life, or How to Become a Billionaire Meerkat

When a well known British insurance company launched the Meerkat series of adverts in early 2009 they were simply designed as a sales aid. They could not have known just how popular the concept of the ads would become with young and old alike. You'll find these videos hilarious.

Our hero is Alexsandr who is a Russian Aristokat and Billionaire who acts out his ancestors adventures starting in the 18th century. Our frontman and main character, Alexsandr, became famous for his world hopping adventures, though the fact that he was the chief architect of the Mir(kat) Space Station also helped. Alexsandr, founder of comparethemeerkat.com, can usually be found working on his web site, comparing Meerkats. There are rumours that he may use his ancestry as the basis of a major movie. We believe that the video series we can all see now are in effect 'practice' for his first big screen extravaganza starring himself and sidekick Sergei.

'The Journey of Courageousness'

'The Journey of Courageousness' starts the trilogy, showing Alexsandr's ancestors escaping their home in Africa because of the 'Great Grub Famine'. Finding a boat, they make their escape by sea. They spent many months at sea facing danger daily and there were somewhat mixed feelings when they ultimately made land fall on the frozen Russian shore.

'The Journey of Fearlessness'

'The Journey of Fearlessness' shows Alexsandr's Great Grand-Daddy Vitali fighting for his life against 'Mongis Khan', evil leader of the hated Mongoose army. Although the fight was won it was feared that Great Grand-Daddy Vitali had suffered a mortal wound. Happily his injury proved to be only a 'fur wound' and not dangerous. After much celebration they leave the Urals behind them and make their way deep into Russia to their final destination, Moscow.

'The Streets of Ambitiousness'

Alexsandr's Daddy Anton stars in this story and shows his trials and tribulations as he tries to launch his new business, 'comparethemeerkat.cart'. It wasn't easy for Anton in the early days. There were even times when things were so hard that he had to start comparing Muskrats to earn a little extra. Disgusting!!

To great acclaim, in October 2010, Alex released his latest work, an autobiography, 'A Simples Life: The life and Times of Alexsandr Orlov'. The excitement generated by the release of ' A Simples Life' is bound to send it straight to the top of the best sellers list. It is fully expected that because of the huge public interest Alex's book will be.nominated for 'The Booker-Kat Prize' and possibly for 'The Nobel-Kat Prize for Literature'.
